It’s good, and probably essential, to have goals for a project. But what’s more important is figuring out which goal takes priority if your goals conflict.
Do you alternate, so you would feed into one goal while looking the other way on the other goal for a week, then do the opposite the next? Probably not, or at least not explicitly.
Ideally, you would try to find a solution that would satisfy both conflicting goals, although what often happens is a compromise, and that just isn’t really effective in the long run, or even in the short run.
